• Grumpy Mule with ACE at the UK Restaurant Show 2009

  Ian and Damian spent a couple of days helping out the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) as they attended the UK Restaurant Show in London to promote the Cup of Excellence program and award winning Cup of Excellence coffees.
  
  With cost often the primary motivation, it still remains unbelievable that so many restaurants and other high end food outlets choose to serve poor and average quality coffee to their customers. The idea was to show that not only can restaurants serve fantastic, great tasting coffee to their customers but that there can be a great story and uniqueness too - which can be used to promote the coffees further on the menu.
  
  It also proved a great chance to catch up with Susie Spindler, co-founder of the CoE program and ACE representative / CoE head judge / Nicaraguan coffee farmer Erwin Mierisch.
