Making the perfect coffee using cone and filter paper coffee
Step 1
Either use Grumpy Mule ground coffee (omni-grind) or if grinding your own beans, adjust the grinder to a medium to fine (filter) setting.
Step 2
When using a filter paper and cone, use around 2 rounded dessertspoonfuls of ground coffee per mug, or adjust according to taste.
Step 3
Place the cone on top of the mug and the filter paper (preferably unbleached) into the cone. Add the ground coffee into the filter.
Step 4
Heat freshly drawn water and allow it to come off the boil (wait a good 30 seconds at least).
Step 5
Pour a little water over the grounds to infuse and draw for a moment, ensuring that they are fully wetted.
Step 6
Once step 4 is complete, continue to pour the water gently to extract the coffee into the cup.
