New Coffee Products for the Summer; here’s a sneak preview of the coffees that will be available in the shop in the upcoming months. We’ve carefully sourced and selected these coffees – some award winning, some exclusive to Grumpy Mule – and we really hope that you enjoy trying these as much as we have sampling them As always, each of these fantastic coffees are roasted and packed here at the Roastery for delivery direct to your home.
2009 Cup of Excellence award winners and rare limited edition coffees
So far in 2009 we’ve seen Cup of Excellence competitions held in Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala and each has unearthed some highly unique coffees and the auctions have generated some very respectable incomes for the winning farmers. At this moment in time, we have 2 outstanding coffees on the way:
Colombia Las Delicias Lot 20, Strength 3
Grown by Uriel Antonio Chiquito in the Risaralda region Colombia, this promises to be a smooth, bright and chocolaty coffee.

Costa Rica La Pira Lot 11, Strength 4
Grown by Carlos Ureña Ceciliano in the Dota Valley of Tarrazú, Costa Rica this full bodied, complex coffee has a wonderful combination of fruit and spice aromas.

Panama Esmeralda Special 2009 “San José” from Hacienda La Esmeralda
Try one of the world's most celebrated coffees, with it's citrusy-floral aroma and super sweet taste. This is a unique lot from Batch No.4 "Mario San Jose"

Panama Diamond Mountain 250g Coffee Gift Tin
New this week has been the launch of the highly popular Panama Diamond Mountain – the coffee we regularly buy from Hacienda La Esmeralda - in our Grumpy Mule gift tins. The coffee is roasted and ground here before being vacuum sealed into our special, ring pull tins. Once open, the clasped lid seals the aromas in.
